Hemophilia Federation India & Our Activities
HFI was established in 1983. We are a self-help NGO run by Persons with Hemophilia themselves, with help from medical fraternity. We represent India as National Member Organization at the World Federation of Hemophilia based in Canada. We also work in close collaboration with World Health Organization and NACO.
Registrations:
- Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860: Registration No. 15342 dated 26/02/85
- Income Tax Act 1961 u/s 80 G (50% Tax Exemption)
- FCR Act 1976 : No. 231650667 dated 20/04/93
- Partnership with NACO (National AIDS Control Organization), Government of India
- Licensed to Import Life Saving Drug - Anti Hemophilia Factor(AHF)
Activities:
- Sponsoring treatment and education of children with hemophilia under sponsor a child (SAC) UK & Save one Life Scheme - USA
- Running a separate HIV cell and reimbursing 50% cost of ART and 100% cost of medicinal and AHF support
- Providing economic rehabilitation to deserving PWH and scholarships to children with hemophilia
- Training children with hemophilia through camps to increase their confidence level
- Organizing training for doctors, physiotherapist and lab technicians
- Organizing training in administrative and managerial skills for key persons of chapters
- Providing psychosocial support to patients and their families
- Printing of Information and Education material for persons with hemophilia, their family and doctors
